If your connection has stopped working suddenly, I would first simply try power cycling the modem and router. Wait a couple minutes and try again. When it becomes a common problem, you may need to contact your internet provider. In some cases there can be to much signal loss on the outside wiring. If that is the case, they may need to send someone out to check the lines.
